OUGD406 | Studio Brief 01 - Final sleeve

Below is my final composition after my final design alterations and refinements. It was at this point that I referred to the submission guidelines to ensure the design met the requirements. I should have done this earlier as I realised I had forgotten to take bleed into account. I created a new file with the bleed and placed my design on to this. This framed the design with a white border which I decided to keep as it felt professional, smooth and complimented the artwork I had created. There were still some lines which were not as smooth as I had hoped but this was the best resolution I came up with.

To visualise my design in use, I sourced a vinyl disk image off the internet and photoshopped this as if it was coming out of the sleeve. This made my design look better as it felt more professional and realistic. I coloured the centre of the disk for consistency with the sleeve design. I placed a title and song name in the colour scheme of the sleeve for a finished look. I could now imagine the disk actually being sold.

As a result of this visualisation, I decided to copy and paste some of the favourite designs from the critique into the design and changed the colours to imagine these if they were created too. This has made my decision much more difficult as I was pleased with the results of all of these now they had been pictured with a disk. I am yet to decide my final design and write my 140 characters explaining the design.I will look for feedback on this. Below are the other three designs I created...
