Design Principles Task 1- OUGD404

This morning we created Lonely Hearts adverts for a letter we selected. I chose the Bauhaus O because I like the simplicity and geometry of the letter. Our adverts illustrated the personality style and features of our letters.

"Hello! I am a Bauhaus O! I am a chilled out, simple and down to the point letterform. I am chunky and bold so there is more to love! I am geometric and looking for other shapes to join me in my journey"

I was paired up with a Century Gothic A as we felt we were compatible for each other. We then produced our 'child' letterform which combined features from both parent letters. We named our child Century-Haus.

We were then given A4 sheets of paper with the words 'fast' written in different styles and fonts. We had to cut a shape to communicate the word and the way that it was written. With my partner, we cut a lightening bolt for the thick italic font and a dinner plate for the skinny font to represent fasting.
