After presenting my current ideas, I first asked about target market as I have been unsure who to aim my booklet at. It was suggested that my product would be most ideally placed within galleries, museums and other tourist places. Therefore, an ideal target market would be the customers/visitors of these places.
I explained that my current ideas involved a variation between the layout on each page. The group agreed that this was a good idea. I had felt that my content appeared rather random at this point and I was unsure if the booklet itself would make much sense, however the group expressed that this odd theme is consistent with the sculptures themselves.
It was suggested that I could include a map showing all the locations of the superlambananas. I would like to do this, however it has been difficult to find where all the remaining superlambananas are so I will be unable to attempt this.
One of my ideas was to include a colouring in page/design your eon superlambananas. I had been unsure about this as it puts a question mark over the target market. There was a great reaction to this and the whole group seemed to really like the idea. They felt that it was still appropriate to the books content. They questioned whether the booklet should be a colouring book. I thought of the idea of a booklet called "Design a flock " as they are often referred to in this way. This booklet could include an inspiration page showing some of my own photos, while facts and figures could be displayed around the outlines.
I am struggling to select between my current idea and my colouring book idea. I am attracted to this new idea as it is a bit more interesting. However, I am unsure how I could create a layout for it, and I worry about the centre of the booklet ruining any outlines. I plan to consult a few more students to get their opinions on which is most appropriate.
Other advice given my tutors included considering what our grid/layout remind us of? Does this relate to our theme? Your layout should be informed by what your content is.
Since I am currently planning to use a layout with many columns I feel this relates to my theme as it reflects the number of Superlambananas around. It also reflects the number of styles and designs and furthermore the scale of the event. I plan to create my layout in a similar style to a layout found during my research. This layout is interesting, random and creative- again I feel that this links in nicely with the idea of the sculptures.

It was also mentioned that the printer does not have to restrict everything, for example our front cover could be made separately. I need to carry out some research into stock, binding methods and books themselves.
